PGPD Announces Results of Operation “Fall Focus”

   Prince George’s County, Maryland…. Prince George’s County Police Chief Roberto Hylton is pleased to announce the results of Operation “Fall Focus”.  The operation, which ran for four consecutive weeks, was conducted on Thursday, Friday, and Saturday evenings during a ten hour period.  The operation included police officers from the Bureau of Patrol, Narcotics Enforcement Division, Special Operations Division, Special Investigations Division, Traffic Enforcement Unit, and District III’s Special Assignment, Robbery Suppression, and Burglary Suppression Teams.  Each unit conducted proactive enforcement operations in communities within the District III serving area that have been identified as “hot spots” for criminal activity. 

    During the operation, officers made 70 arrests, 805 traffic stops, impounded 19 vehicles, documented 283 suspicious persons stops, recovered 9 handguns and seized a significant amount of drugs.

    “Operation Fall Focus is one of our efforts to continue the reduction of crime and violence in our communities,” said Chief Roberto Hylton.
