Crab Soup Perfection: Riderwood Culinary Team Honored at Maryland Seafood Festival

Following the 45th Annual Maryland Seafood Festival, there is only one group of professional chefs in the DC metropolitan area that can claim the title, “King of Crab” -- Riderwood’s Culinary Team.

During this year’s Festival’s 22nd Annual Crab Soup Cook-off at Sandy Point State Park in Annapolis, on September 8th, Riderwood’s culinary team won multiple honors in the following categories:

  • 1st Place People’s Choice Best Vegetable Crab Soup
  • 1st Place People’s Choice Best Alternative Crab Soup
  • 2nd Place People’s Choice Best Cream of Crab Soup
  • 3rd Place Judge’s Choice Best Vegetable Crab Soup

“Despite facing a tough field of over a dozen restaurants and catering companies from across Maryland, Riderwood’s talented chefs worked tirelessly perfecting their recipes, resulting in the most creative and delicious crab soups, said Certified Executive Chef Victor Cirrincione. “It’s an honor to be recognized as an official ‘Premier Creator of Crab Soup’ in Maryland.”
