LARGO, MD—The Prince George’s County Health Department will offer free, anonymous and confidential HIV tests to mark National Testing Day on Monday, June 27, 2011.

Since 1995, the National Association of People with AIDS (NAPWA) has designated June 27th as a National HIV Testing Day with communities all across the nation. The purpose of the day is to promote early diagnosis and HIV-testing. It is believed that with early diagnosis, uncertain individuals will know their HIV-status and then receive appropriate treatment and care as well as preventing the spread of HIV.

 

HIV testing will be held at the following locations on June 27:

 Cheverly Health Center

HIV/AIDS Program in Suite 1055 from 9:00am to 3:30pm and STD Program in Suite 3048 from 8:30am to 2:30pm located at 3003 Hospital Drive, Cheverly, MD 20785

 Dyer Health Center

HIV/AIDS Program in Room 175 from 9:00am to 3:00pm located at 9314 Piscataway Road, Clinton, MD 20735

 Suitland Wellness Center

Adams House Medical Services in Room 207 from 8:30am to 4:00pm located at 5001 Silver Hill Road, Suitland, MD 20746

 Kaiser Permanente

June 27, 2011

10:00am to 2:00 pm.

HIV/AIDS testing will be offer by Kaiser Permanente medical staff all day.

Prince George’s Hospital Center

June 27, 2011

10:00am to 2:00p.m.

3001 Hospital Drive, Cheverly, MD 20785

HIV/AIDS testing will be offer by the staff at Prince George’s Hospital Center, Emergency Room.

 

Heart to Hand, Inc. will be providing HIV/AIDS testing and STI screening from 6:00pm to 8:00pm to the clients attending the schedule group on Tuesday June 28, 2011.
