Free Tax Assistance In Maryland | News
ANNAPOLIS, Md. (WUSA) -- You have just a few more days to take advantage of free help on your Maryland state taxes.
The office of Comptroller Peter Franchot announced it will offer free assistance to all state residents who need it. You can visit any comptroller local office across the state. Offices will be open weekdays 8:00am to 5:00pm and Saturday from 9:00am to 1:00pm.
You will need to bring your W-2 and IRS 1099 forms. The assistance is only being offered on your state tax return, not federal returns. Maryland's tax deadline is 11:59pm on Tuesday April 17.
