Holiday party supports 10 kids who lost their mothers

LANDOVER, Md. (WUSA 9) -- Sisters 4 Sisters hosted a holiday party celebrating the 10 children who lost theirs mothers in the fatal Prince George's County car accident.

The party was part of the Sister 4 Sisters "Hope for the Holidays: A Mother's Love" campaign that helps support children during the holidays.

Prince George's fire spokesperson Mark Brady said the October accident was "one of the worst" crashes in 40 years, killing two children and three adults.

Sisters 4 Sisters Executive Director Carolyn Washington announced that the campaign is to help support and bring happiness to the children of the two women killed in the crash. A "GoFundMe" campaign was established to buy presents for the 10 children.

The holiday party was held Saturday at 1:30 p.m. at Signature Blue in Landover, Md.
