Photo Gallery | PHOTOS: Cutest K-9 Of The Week
Meet this week’s “Cutest K-9,” Penelope Rose, a 15-week-old Cavachon who lives in Purcellville, Va.
If you are unfamiliar with the Cavachon breed, it's a cross between the Cavalier King Charles Spaniel, and the Bichon Frise.
This lovable pup was born on Earth Day so her mom says she is very environmentally conscience, and to keep the grass green, she only pees inside on puppy mats (wink, wink.)
After a week of negotiations, Penelope Rose got her “fancy” name from her two sisters, who believed she was as delicate and feminine as a flower (she’s delicate alright, she fits into a garden tea cup), yet had brassy hair, which matched the copper in a penny. Since they live minutes from Lincoln, Va, mom thought Penelope Rose, Penny for short, would be the perfect name.
This lovable ball of fur is extremely photogenic and craves attention from her family, friends, and the camera. Penny’s love of photography runs in the family, as her mom is a professional photographer who loves to play dress up with Penny from time to time.
Penny’s super curious and a smart cookie! She already knows how to sit, stay, lay down, roll over, fetch and high-five, but only if she gets a treat for it! Mom thinks she will be a genius after they enroll her in puppy school soon.
Penny Rose loves to give kisses and is the ultimate cuddle bug. She spends most afternoons snuggling under pillows on the couch while mom works.
This adorable Cavachon is our eleventh featured K-9. Every Friday, we will feature one adorable dog. Do you think your dog has what it takes to be named your neighborhood's cutest K-9? If so, then we want to hear from you!
Send your photos to firstname.lastname@example.org where we will vote on the cutest pup. Your four-legged friend could have the chance to be featured on our website.
Good luck, and we hope you have a paw-tastic Friday!
